The vibration unit was electrical (has an on/off switch) and attached underneath the crib (springs or wood bottom) imparting gentle effective vibration to the mattress (attachments included for safe installation).

The sound generator attached by Velcro to the side railing of the crib (had an on/off switch) continuously generated a white noise that simulated the wind sound from a moving car. It was battery operated by (2) 9-Volt alkaline batteries (first set included) that lasted approximately 25-30 hours.
